1) Complete the Details and Senses in "When It Is Snowing" and "Poppies" worksheet.
2) In your writer's journal, write a companion poem for "When It Is Snowing" in which you imagine that you are the blue jay. Your poem should be at least 8 lines long and should include at least 1 metaphor and 1 strong image (refer to the worksheet -- remember, strong images come from vivid sensory details).
